SPOIL YOURSELF THIS SUMMER AT THE GAINSBOROUGH BATH SPA

July 2018

Summer has well and truly arrived, so what better time to treat yourself to a luxurious visit to The Gainsborough Bath Spa. Here are our top 5 recommendations for some summertime indulgence.

DELIGHT IN A WIMBLEDON AFTERNOON TEA

Throughout Wimbledon, until 15th July, we are "serving" up a special Tennis-themed Afternoon Tea in our beautiful Canvas Room. In addition to the classic staples like freshly baked scones and finger sandwiches, expect a little drama at your table with eye-catching cakes and sweet treats from Pistachio Eclairs to a tispy Pimms Jelly.

REFRESH YOUR SENSES WITH A SPA DAY

Refresh your mind, body and soul with a Spa Day at our award-winning Spa Village. A popular choice during summer is our Renew & Refresh Spa Day, which features a choice of Amala facials, including a Relax with Lavender facial – a soothing treatment for quenching dry, sun-exposed skin and restoring lasting hydration. The Spa Days give full use of the spa facilities, including the natural thermal baths and cooling ice alcove!

ENJOY A SUMMER COCKTAIL IN THE BAR

“The Stained Glass” is a delightful concoction created especially for the summer months by our expert mixologists at The Gainsborough Bar. Chapel Down Chardonnay Vodka is muddled with fresh Ginger then stirred with Orchard Pig Cider, Elderflower and Watermelon – summer in a glass!

WINE, DINE & STAY

For a truly indulgent summer break, book in for our Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package. Stay in a luxurious guest room or one of our fabulous Suites and experience the finest seasonal flavours with a 3-course Table d'hôte menu at Dan Moon at The Gainsborough Restaurant. It’ll be a break to remember!

EXPLORE THE ROMAN BATHS BY TORCHLIGHT

If you haven’t yet visited the Roman Baths, make your first trip by torchlight; it’s an unforgettable experience. Until the end of August the site is open until 10.00pm every evening (last entry 9.00pm). As darkness falls, the ruins of this vast Roman building are an awesome sight. You can walk on 2000-year-old pavements lit by flickering torchlight, creating a magical and evocative atmosphere. With its steaming waters and Roman artefacts, this is a must-see when visiting Bath and is located only moments from The Gainsborough Bath Spa.

We hope we may have inspired you with our summer recommendations! For further information, please feel free to contact our team who will be happy to help.
